Nature from the Farm (Lockdown Series)

A barred owl at sunset on its favorite perch in a cedar tree.

Hi folks. I’ve been running a series on my public Facebook page, also called “Nature Frames,” called Nature from the Farm (Lockdown Series). In an effort to stay at home as much as possible, I’ve been focusing my photography around the farm each day. Whenever I get a nice image, I share it right away on my public page. If I don’t get a decent image, I usually share something that day from the farm image archives. It has been fun and I’ve been getting a lot of feedback from all my friends out there, including many of you.

I know some of you aren’t on Facebook for one reason or the other so this edition features some of the images I’ve made at the farm in the last 24 hours or so. The migrating warblers, vireos, kinglets, and others have really been active right here in my extended back yard. By the way the featured image is of a barred owl we call “Buddy.” It has been hanging around for a few years now but last evening was the first time I’ve seen him in about six months. He was right back on his favorite perch.

Eastern towhee singing in the sunrise.

Dogwood blossoms in the morning.

Joyce, my wife, also known as The Redbud Queen.

I’ll keep you posted when I get some more spring shots from the farm. If you are on Facebook and you want to follow my public page, just type in Nature Frames and you’ll find me pretty easy. You don’t have to put in a friend request. Just hit the follow button and you’ll get all my posts. But don’t worry if you’re not on Facebook. I don’t have any plans to quit blogging.

Happy Naturing,

DB

America is beautiful. I vote to keep it that way.
