Late-Summer Fawn

A whitetail fawn skirts the fields this morning at the farm.

The holidays are over so it’s back to the grind of photographing wildlife as they begin each new day. It’s a nice kind of grind; I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This little fawn is always up to various shenanigans. This morning I watched it getting on its hind legs to pluck pin oak acorns from a low hanging branch. Its anxious mama was blowing and stomping the whole time, as usual.

Thanks for looking,

America is beautiful. I vote to keep it that way.

  1. “Grind” is not the word I’d use, when such magical images result (especially, when I am not the one traipsing along!) Thank you.
