Least Sandpiper

March 15, 2016

A least sandpiper searches for invertebrate morsels in a shallow marsh. About the same size as a sparrow, least sandpipers are referred to as “Peeps” by birders. I captured this image a few springs ago while photographing bobolinks at B.K. Leach Conservation Area.

Thanks for looking,

DB
